Thanks! But that what I was asking - it shows 120hz and 12 bit and all is dandy but the panel itself is 10 bit for example yet the signal it "accepts" is 12 bit.
So the same with frame rate - is there a tangible difference you can really observe in 120 hz mode or it just basically "accepts" 120 hz but drops every other frame since the tv is actually 60 hz?
It is just a 10-bit panel but running it in 12-bit for some reason helps reduce banding. It is also definitely a 120hz panel because when I play Dota I use the FPS counter and it always shows around 100-120 frames per second at any given time. I have the TV paired with a RTX 3090.

I was thinking of getting the 86" version (86SM9070PUA).

Has anyone tried an RX 6000 series or RTX 3000 series card and tested HDMI 2.1 VRR at 4K 120hz? The previous responses in this thread indicate that VRR range at 4K is limited to 60 hz, and not 120hz. I just wanted to check if tests were done with HDMI 2.1 GPUs, preferably confirmed using the Nvidia Pendulum demo.
