Anyone else have a Directv receiver connected to the tv? I had to set digital clean view to auto yesterday to watch the World Series which was very grainy at times. I usually have it off.
There is no point in enabling input signal plus for a non-4K device correct?
I have picture set to movie
Backlight at 50 (window light hits the tv)
Sharpness 10 now, tried 0 with digital clean view off but did not help
Digital clean view auto
Contrast enhancer low
Film mode off
Color tone warm1
white balance and color space rtings settings
Gamma 0 bt 1886
1372.2 firmware along with Nvidia driver 457.30 makes Gsync work with Nvidia Turing GPUs and above. Previously (1361), there would be flickering and "unsupported resolution messages". All that is now gone.
However, Gsync only works with HDMI 1.
I just tested with a 2060 on the Pendulum demo. I also tested Freesync with a 5700 XT and it still works, as it has from the start.
I expect that all 2019 Samsung TVs with VRR (RU8000 to Q90R/Q900R) now support Gsync on Nvidia Turing GPUs and above.
Additional speculation is that PS5's HDMI 2.1 VRR may work with 2019 Samsung TVs with VRR unofficially. But I will try to test this with a PS5 that I can hopefully obtain once Sony updates the PS5 firmware to support VRR. Xbox Series X/S already supports Freesync, so there's no issue there.
If someone want something a bit more punchier than Rtings settings for SDR can try this one
Color 16-20 (max 25 start bleeding)
Auto motion plus custom 0/0 or what you like
Contrast enhance low
Color tone warm1
white balance rtings settings
Gamma bt 1886 -2
Color space Native
You can play also with Contrast enhance high with Gamma 2.2 or bt1886 +2 is the same in my eyes
I have the 65 AF01 samsung panel 1372.2 firmware
