World Series prediction...AL: anyone but the Yankees...I'm hoping Joe Maddon can finally turn around the Angels and at least get them into the playoffs on a consistent basis again...NL: Dodgers are whining too much about the Astros but they have too much talent...I still think the reigning champ Nationals are going to be really good...too bad they weren't able to keep Rendon but they still have that pitching...

oh...the Astros are still going to win that division...

"He competes in rodeo events as ‘Mason Saunders.’ You probably know him as Madison Bumgarner."

We already knew that Madison Bumgarner was a multitalented athlete, but mostly because he has a knack for hitting home runs that’s unusual for a major league pitcher. Now it turns out that Bumgarner is also good at the rodeo discipline of team roping — so good, in fact, that he’s earned money in competitions.

While I am no Yankee fan, I think they are going to win 100 games again and at least make the ALCS. I just read about their new pitching coach Matt Blake.

Blake was an associate scout with the Yankees from 2009 to ’15, founded a pitching-development center and served as pitching coordinator at Cressey Sports Performance, a training site for a number of prominent major leaguers in Hudson, Mass. (The Yankees, as part of their offseason makeover, also added Cressey’s founder, Eric Cressey, naming him their director of player health and performance.)
I have followed Eric Cressey for probably 15 years. He knows his stuff. Although he might be a Trojan horse, since he is from Boston.;)

In the NL, obviously the Dodgers are loaded. I think of them as the same with the Yankees. They will win 100 games and make the NLCS. Remember they were winning game 5 against the Nats until the eighth. Of course, it remains to be seen how Dave Roberts will mess it up.

suspicions about Gerrit Cole: Reds starter Trevor Bauer (and former UCLA college teammate of Cole)- “When I see a guy go from being a good pitcher for one team and spinning the ball at 2,200 rpm, to spinning the ball at 2,600 or 2,700 in Houston, I know exactly what happened.”...rumors are that the Astros developed a more undetectable sticky substance that helped with baseball grip, allowing their pitchers to elevate the spin on their pitches to gain greater velocity and movement...

https://nypost.com/2020/02/26/new-cloud-of-cheating-reaches-yankees-gerrit-cole-thanks-to-trevor-bauer/

lets see how Cole pitches this season...if he drops off then the Astros were doing more then stealing signs...they must have a super-lab where they develop all this illegal tech...

Finally saw the last scientific study results on the mlb baseball. It said that the balls seams were smaller, creating less drag. It also reported that the launch angles of the players helped with the record setting number of homeruns. I hope this year they make the seams higher and real baseball comes back. I hate seeing every at bat either a strikeout or homerun. Lets get some movement and running back in the game.
