I am figuring with the cine4home lumens report last week or so that I will get about 22.5 ftL on a new bulb with my throw, screen, etc...


Is 22.5ftL going to be too bright for a completely dark, no ambient light, black hole type theater? I know the bulb will age a bit, and then it will be good, but how about initially?

Well if it is - get a ND2 filter. Then you will be right where you want to be - then gets too dim and take it off and twice too dim is not so brite - and end up right where you want to be.

Thanks for the replys. I am not familar with a ND2 filter. Is it something you put over the lens?


Also I am confused what you mean by this statement exactly...

Are you basically saying once it gets too dim with the ND2 filter, that I should just take it off and then I will "end up right where I want to be?"
