My employer is interested in installing a display that will run 24/7 (or at least 8-5 M-F). Initially, we thought a projector would be a good solution for this space because of existing infrastructure, but it occurred to me that a standard consumer projector will likely burn out its bulbs and other components very quickly if it sees this kind of constant use. So now I'm thinking a flat panel display may be more appropriate (we have at least one plasma that has been running in this configuration for years, but it does have some image persistence).
Does anyone have any experience with similar setups? We're looking for something that's larger than 60", doesn't require regular/major maintenance and won't cost tens of thousands of dollars. It will be in-door as well.
Thanks!
