I've been wanting to upgrade my bedroom TV for awhile. My ideal tv would have the capability to stream mkv files from my pc, have the standard media widgets (youtube, netflix etc.) and a browser. Does such a tv exist? I thought Sony's google tv was the answer but I've heard picture wise it's not that great. I've also come across a 24" Toshiba (24SL415U) that seems to be pretty close to what I'm looking for. The only major drawback is that it's built in media player won't stream mkv files. Am I right in assuming that certain media servers can get around this problem by doing the rendering? If not, then is there any other small TV (under 30") that meets my criteria?

Thanks in advance!

The Sony 24 inch Google TV was discontinued last year. You are better off buying a 24 inch TV and then adding on either a Blu-ray player with MKV support or a Roku/Sony netbox. I am not sure if the Roku box supports MKV but I know the Sony SMPN200 does via USB.
