27" Non-HDTV. Toshiba, Sony, or Samsung?

I want to get a TV for my apartment but don't want to spend alot of money. I am going to mainly use it for movies and I don't have cable so HDTV seems to be a waste of alot of money for me right now. I like the 27" Flat screen TV's all three brands have. They are all in the same price range with Sony being like $40 more. Anyone have experiance with these brands I am leaning towards the Samsung just because I think it looks really nice. And the Sony has a cheap appearance. But I want quality first. The exact models are the Samsung TXR2735, Sony KV27FS120, and Toshiba 27AF45. Thanks.

Sony, Samsung, then Toshiba..
My order:

1. Sony KV-27FS120

2. Toshiba 27AF45

3. Samsung TX-R2735
I had a sony SD that was about 2 years old before i bought my new HDTV, and i can tell you the sony is a real nice SD set. You'll be happiest with the sony.
I don't know how my set compares feature wise, but I have a Sony KV-27FV17 that is very similar to the 27FS120, and we love it; quirks aside. We've had it about 4 years IIRC, from the apartment days, but remains our main TV until we can finish the basement. At any rate, the pictures is incredible for SD, particularly in 16:9 Enhanced mode for anamorphic wide screen material. Our wide mode has to be enabled through complex (as in not macro friendly) menu options, but it is worth it at about 30% increased resolution IIRC. On a 27" set, that is a very good alternative to HD, particularly with current DVDs. The new models should have Auto 16:9, and that is the one big thing missing on our set.
the new KV27FS120 does not have auto 16:9 mode

it has to be enabled through the menus as well
When shopping for inexpensive TV's do not buy one with just one composite video input, one S-video input, and one video input as selected on the remote. You would have to completely unplug your DVD player before you can use your VCR (unless you sacrifice a little more of what little quality a VCR gives by using its antenna coax connection.)
