Just came back from seeing 28 Weeks Later. First of all, make sure you have seen the first movie before seeing this one so you will know whats happening and why.

This movie is absolutely HORRIFYING!!! I dont use that word much. Not much horrifies me, so many movies that others find disturbing or hard to watch are nothing to me, yet so many scenes in this movie are absolutely horrifying. Those scenes are a great conglomeration of great photography, acting, sound, editing, makeup, you name it, this movie can scare you.

Makes you think too, and also if you are into visuals, there are so many spectacular views of London from the air that look so great, its really a treat.

Sure, at times its a little slow, but its creating a mood at those times, and then look out! Overall, this movie will certainly hold your interest.

I highly reccommend this movie for any horror fan. Now i cant wait for the next one!

Going tonight to see it. Looking forward to it.

Was worried from the previews that the black actor that played on the HBO series "The Wire" would draw me out of it (much like Tom Cruise and Mel Gibson do) but after the good reviews and how much I liked the first, Im going to give it a shot...

ChemEng- yeah that's definitely a big goof.

The thing that bugged me the most was...

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show) Spoiler
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show) How the father kept showing up in all the right places at all the right times. It was just to contrived, regardless of the director's intentions.

The first 10 minutes set the bar too high. The rest of the movie didn't achieve the same level of intensity for me.

That was my biggest problem with the entire movie. Im glad that I wasnt the only one that was bothered by it! I tried to explain it to the wife, but it went right over her beautiful head.

A fun movie. I agree the first ten minutes were the most intense.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show) I think they should have gotten Kate Bosworth to play the mom so the 'mis-matched eyes' would have been real!

The movie start out well with the flashback sequence but quickly dies after that. Seemingly endless shots of empty streets and buildings mixed with the herky jerky shots of the affected people make for a dull movie. Very little horror and a plot that totally unravels in the last quarter.

The subway sequence was totally retarded and contrived.

I give it a 2.75 out of 5 mostly for the acting which was good. Too bad there was no story to support it.

I just saw this movie tonight and loved it! Very well done, and definitly exceeded my expectations. I watched 28 Days Later the night before as a refresher to the story line, and though I really liked that one too, I thought the sequel was even better.

Ok make that two.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show) It was not having any guards on the trailer. I found that to be very silly.

There was another goof that I noticed...

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show) Spoiler
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show) The text at the beginning of the movie said that Britain was under the protection of a UN protection force, then later when they enter the containment zone they say they are being protected by the US Army.

That got a good eye roll from me.

At any rate, in spite of the several goofs, I really enjoyed this movie.

Just saw the first showing at 10:30AM. Was just me and a rather attractive 40 something woman in the theater. Why haven't I ever met any females that's into horror/sci-fi?

Oh, back to the movie.

It was alright, but I could have waited until it was release on HD-DVD.

3 stars if you are into the genre

About the goofs and mistakes, when i watch a movie or a tv show, i suspend reality and dont worry about them. Even when a sequel makes a mistake based on the previous movie, i dont sweat it. I know its not reality, and i just sit back and enjoy it if the movie is good, and man, do i think this movie was good!

My wife has a major problem with suspending reality, and i believe thats why she has a problem with sci-fi and horror movies in general. But even watching anything, its annoying as hell to hear her tell me "Oh, that couldnt happen in real life" or "That doesnt jibe with something they said an hour ago." Geez, relax woman! Sometimes she just takes the enjoyment away for me as she distracts me. Ah, women are so interesting........

I could have done without all of the shakey, hand-cam stuff. I'd call it good, not great. I really liked the first one.

Danny Boyle had stated after the first movie, that it only affected primates. It also mentions this in the Aftermath graphic novel. The movie should have addressed this, though. As anyone who hadn't read the comic or the Boyle statement wouldn't know.

I believe it said during the beginning, it said, U.S. led NATO force, not the U.N.

Overall, I really enjoyed the flick. A great horror flick, for sure, and trumps the original.

I enjoyed it.

It was nowhere near perfect but worth a watch.

28 Weeks Later has it all. I was a bit hesitant because it hasn't been getting that great of reviews, but as far as I'm concerned it BURIES 28 Days Later. It's much bigger in scope and a linear storyline and more interesting themes.

All the performances were top notch and the visuals were intense. It even got scary, particularly in the pitch black subway with only the night scope to see by.

Here's hoping Danny Boyle makes it into a trilogy!
