I was prepared to purchase the Denon 2900 but seems the audio section can not be used with my set up. There appears to be no left and right stereo outputs (analog) to a simple valve pre-amp (V.A.C) I do not see how this can be. Tell me I am wrong.
Yes, there ARE stereo analog outs for the 2900. If you look at the back of the unit, there are 8 analog outs. R1 and FR1 (the right-most output connectors) are used for 2-channel stereo output; the other 6 connections are for multichannel analog out. You will also need to set "2 Channel" in the "Audio Channel" portion of the "Audio Setup" menu.
mdubrow: I thought there must be stereo outputs. Usually, they are displayed in a separate 'box'. Thanks. I think for my use this will be a very good dvd player.
