2910 Availability?

If you have a Tweeter chain store near you they have them. The one here near me had 2 in stock the other day.


I have yet to pull the trigger because my Toshiba SD-2108 player is still working. Although it has frozen up twice in the past month. Hope springs eternal!

Thanks for the Tweeter suggestion. There are none in my state & the 2910 is not listed on their website. Crutchfield is back ordered, The Great Indoors (who new they were a Denon dealer?) only has the 2910 in black. I'll assume from the lack of responses that 2910s is just not available yet or until 11/30/04 as listed on Crutchfields' website.

Go to the Denon site and click on the dealers button. That will give you a list of place to call in your area.


I just got mine at the (I think) west coast chain Magnolia HiFi.

For all interested, I found both the silver and black models at The Great Indoors. I ordered a 2910s. It's on the way from a warehouse and will arrive at my local store on Friday. To my knowledge, this is the only place that has these (silver) in stock right now and for probably another month. I was told that Denon is planning to 1/3 stock these for a couple of months. So if a vendor ordered 3, they may get one. Looks like it's going to be slim pickins for a while.

What $$$ are Great Indoors asking for the Silver 2910?

I think there are rules about quoting prices on this forum so I can't exactly say. I will say the price was EXTREMELY typical for authorized Denon dealers.

I've been searching for the 2910S for a couple of weeks now. I've tried Dakmart, The Great Indoors, Tweeter (three weeks minimum wait), and even E-bay. I'm not having any luck finding this unit is Silver. I'm almost tempted to purchase a black model which wouldn't match any of my other components. If anyone has seen this elusive model please let me know. Thanks guys and gals!

i've been to several tweeters and ultimate electronics in my area and haven't seen either a black or silver model. last night the salesman at ultimate said they were expecting many of them in a couple of weeks.


i also asked about how many 2900's they had left...and they only have the display (marked down about $230 from msrp on sale), but would only discount 5% for someone willing to buy the floor model.

The Great Indoors supposedly ordered me a 2910S, but when it arrived last week, it was a 2910 (black) - which didn't really surprise me. Then, instead of ordering me the correct model, they told me they don't even special order the 2910S (only the black). So I gave up, and have gone back to my Crutchfield pre-order which has now moved up from 11/30 to 11/12.

Has anyone ever done business with a company by the name of Audiovideoholics? The website can be found by accessing the following Site There is no number listed on the site .... only an e-mail address. I sent an e-mail asking for a number and was given 714-343-0400. I called the number to inquire as to whether they had the Denon DVD-2910S (Silver) and was told yes. He also indicated it would ship out in (1) business day. Being an E-bay user for years I'm inclined to say that this company is legit. I just wanted to see what others thought.
