Hey Everyone,

Just wondering if I could get some suggestions on a small-sized 3.0 speaker setup for the bedroom.

I already have a Yamaha receiver that I'll be using (HTR6140), and I'm looking for some reasonably priced, bookshelf-sized speakers, with probably no bigger than a 4" woofer, to give you guys a sense of the size speakers I'm looking for. Looking to spend about $300 Cdn.

A few options:

1) KEF C series - C1 + Center, although center is too big to fit my shelf

2) Energy Take 3.0 - good size and aesthetics, but I fear they completely lack bass since they're freq response is something north of 110hz (they were designed to be used with the accompanying sub I won't have)

3) Paradigm Cinema series? (similar fear as the Energy concern above)

I've spent a few days searching, but there's very little in my price range.

I can find bigger speakers for cheap (Polk Monitor 30's, etc.) brand new, but they're too big for the bedroom, and I'm already in heat from the missus for adding a receiver a 3.0 in the bedroom.

Or do I need to up my budget (not sure what the missus will think of that though...)

Any thoughts guys/gals?

Thanks!

In a bedroom, a few speakers I think would be very nice are the Behringer 2031s

They look to be discontinued that model, from a quick Google.

They also look way too big for my requirements.
