Woah, we have one of those in our datacenter, it cost ~=1 million$ 6 years ago.



I was talking with our unix guy thats in charge of it and he seemed to think it would be useless, said they don't make disks for it and the software to run it won't be included. Course, he's the same guy that thought EMC built their own harddrives for it (they only recode seagate's firmware), so take that with a huge grain of salt as he knows alot about software, but nothign about hardware.

The software isn't too difficult to get a hold of, but the real problem for most would be the power requirements. That many drives draws a lot of juice, and I'd be willing to bet that the majority don't have an available dedicated 30 amp circuit provisioned into their house. Finding replacement drives is easy as well, just check ebay :)
