3 channels on RX-A3000 -- will it freak out?

Gents I have a question about setup on the RX-A3000. I notice in the manual most of the menu speaker setups are 5.1, 7.1 etc. Question: if i initially set up the system with just good left, right and center speakers, can this receiver handle it or would it freak out? How would you go about that in the menu? Speakers are Mirage OS3 satellites for left, right and Mirage OS3 center channel. Thank you.

Absolutely no concern at all with using the RX-A3000 to drive "only" 3 speakers. In fact, the receiver may operate more efficently and run cooler using 3 of the 7 amps.

In the speaker set-up menu select yes for the L,R and C and select no for surrounds and rears. Page 116 of your manual show a speaker configuration menu. Access this menu to configure your speakers (LRC only).

+1, you can run only two if you wish.

Hope you plan a subwoofer...
