Hey guys, I posted this in the Remote Control forum, but I'm not sure that's the right place for it. I have 3 switches in my basement that control 3 separate zones of lighting.I'd like to continue to be able to operate the 3 zones of lighting separately, but with my Logitech Harmony One remote control. The tricky part is all 3 switches are in a single gang box. I suppose I could cut out a place for a 3-switch gang box, though, if there's a product that would work better with 3 separate switches. Thanks in advance!

Yes, you will need to expand the box size in order to have remote controllable switches. At least there are no IR controllable switches that I am aware of that would fit 3 in a gang or for that matter 2. Of course they could exist somewhere, it's not something I have ever specifically looked for...

Do you have any other location that you can put the actual switches and just have control located in the current 1 gang box?

Unfortunately not. The only switches for the lights are the ones that lead to the single box, and I don't want to rewire my entire basement. I'd also like to add to the mix that I'd like to be able to have presets on the lights for certain scenes, such as mealtime, movies, etc. Is this going to be at all possible? And what kind of budget am I looking at?

Your best bet will probably be to install a 3/4 gang box and use either a Lutron Spacer System or if you can afford it, a Lutron Grafik Eye. Both will give you the scene control you want.

Would I be able to get away with just installing 3 dimmer switches from the Spacer series and controlling it from my universal remote? Also, any ideas how much i should be looking to spend on each? I got a quote for ~$37 for each dimmer, and that seemed to be the cheapest I could find.

That sounds more like an accesory dimmer. Spacer dimmers run about $80 online.

So would you happen to know the model number of the part I need? I think it's SPS-600, but I just want to be absolutely sure before I start ordering things. And would I just need 3 of these and my Logitech remote and I'd somehow be able to set up scenes, control it from my Harmony, etc.?
