30" - 32" flat panel advice....HELP!!!!

Background: I am interested in buying a 30-32" flat screen for my bedroom. I would like to spend less than $1500 AT THE MOST (so 37" tv's seem out of the question). I also don't care about any extra doodads (e.g. cardcable slots) - this is just a good set that I'll watch before I go to sleep or the kids will use to watch DVD's while Daddy is watching football (smile). I don't need a tuner - I'll be using Comcast or satellite TV tuners. As far as I can tell, that means I should get 1366x768 resolution and a 3D-Y/C filter.


HELP! What should I get? Are there any budget flat screens that are excellent? Do I need to go with a big name? If so, which is the best in this category?
