My almost 1 year old 3030 started having some problems about 2 weeks ago.

I first noticed that after pausing a show and coming back to it it would start freezing up for a few seconds then continue play, then freeze up, etc., etc.

I thought it might have been because my drive was almost completely full, so I deleted most of the recordings.

Didn't help.

Now I'm seeing this on recorded shows as well.

I don't get the problem when watching live...only on delayed or recorded shows.

Not sure if this is the same problem described in the stuttering threads.

You might try performing a soft reboot to refresh memory (hold power button in for 15 seconds until LED lights back up).

If recordings still act up delete them until all you have on the disk are good running recordings.

You could leave unit unplugged for a few hours. This has helped some malfunctions.

If all else fails and your fed up 777 zones "restore factory settings" wipes the guide and recordings off the disk and you start from setup again. Not much more can be attempted with the drive in the machine.
