I'm an old time supporter of Replay purchasing the 2003 soon after they came out. I just purchased the 3060.

My question is... The new 3060 seems much less 'responsive' when using the remote to quickskip, instant replay, bring up the channel or replay guide, etc. The old 2003 was quick to perform these functions, but the 3060 seems much slower.

I doubt this is my imagination! Is what I'm seeing a result of the new 3060 or could I have a bum unit??

On a side note, the 3060 runs cooler and MUCH quieter than the 2003. A nice surprise. But boy does the remote take some getting used to.

Do you still have the old unit? If you don't and it didn't have 2.1 I believe that the easlier versin was a little faster. http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif

Tom: That might be it. The evening that I hooked up the new unit, I received 3.0. I do have the old unit still, if I have some free time this weekend I'll try re-hooking it back up.

ReplayMike: We are probably talking milliseconds here! But it is noticable. I'd guess the 3060 (with 3.0 as Tom points out above) response is around 50% longer. As I said the old 2003 was almost instant, and now I notice a delay.

Thanks for the response guys.

Any chance you were recording at the time you noticed the slower response? That will do it!

I've noticed the same problems on my 3060, both with 2.1 and 3.0. The controls seem "softer," for lack of a better word. Takes a second to pause, instant replay, and quick skip. And fast-forward and rewind is messed up too. You have to hit Play three or four times to get it to return to normal speed, go in the other direction until you're where you want, hit Play three or four times, go back again...
