Hi,


Few of us bought this tv in last 2 months with different opinions and since we need to get best out of this tv it will be great if we can post settings for our system so that we might try and get best picture quality. Here are my settings and it will be geat if u can post also:

TV connected to cable box using component cable

TV connected to dvd player using componenet cable

picture settings:

brightness 26

contrast 18

color 16

sharpness 16

SVM off

Aspect on

temp cold

speakers off (i am using sound from av receiver)

change video to film for watching dvd

for SD channels using Theater mode 1 (screen size)

for dvd using full mode (screen size)

yes i keep same settings for video and film.

TM-1 looks better than any other setting for SD

You said your Tv was connected to a cable box. But you didnt say it was a hdtv cable box. Am I to understand that you dont have hdtv reception.

It is connected to HDTV cable box using component cable to tv and optical audio output to receiver

After you go into highdefforum, go to direct-view(tube)tvs and look for a posting by Ja2935, Sorry i dont know how to set it up automatically in this posting. Hes only complaint was something about the dvds.

It will be great if you all owner of this post the settings so that we can try different things and learn something about this set.
