I'm currently in the market for a new 32" LCD HDTV to use both as a TV and as a computer monitor. I've narrowed it down to the Sony KDL32VL140 and the LG 32LG70. I'm having trouble deciding between the two, however.

The 32LG70 seems to have Composite Audio Out (Which is big for me, I will be using PC speakers for now). However, would the Sony be higher quality?

Thanks.

I went with the 32LG70, as it was both cheaper and had Composite Audio Out. Plus the guy at the store said he'd personally go with the LG, and he really has no agenda. They don't make commission there, and if they did he'd make more on the Sony. I'm thinking I might have got a faulty one though.

I picked up the 32VL140 and I didn't even consider LG. Just biased towards Japanese branded TVs, that's all. Sonys are considered by many as overpriced but yes, the 32VL140 is almost the same as the XBR6 with a different bezel so I went with it.

I probably would have went with it too, if it had composite audio out.

I just returned my 32LG70 that I suspected was faulty and got another one. It has exactly the same problems as the first, so I think I'm going to replace it with a Toshiba 40RV525U.
