All,

My parents just purchased a 36" WEGA and I've managed to get it hooked into their new Sony home theater system. Everything is working fine ... and so begins the education of how to use as few remotes as possible to control the whole setup.

The only quirk I see so far with the TV is the use of the 16:9 enhanced mode for the DVD player. The "squeeze" is working fine and the movies we've tested it with look great. The problem is that I can't get the TV to "remember" I've told it to go to 16:9. For example, I set the TV for 16:9 and watch a DVD. Next, I change inputs on the TV to switch back to cable. After going back to Video 1 (the DVD input) the TV is back to 4:3. It won't "remember" I told it to use 16:9. Everything else is working perfectly.

Any ideas? How do I get the 16:9 setting to stick? Model of the TV is KV-36FS100.

TIA,

-Dan
