Ok recently just during COD4, the video will drop out. I noticed this only for COD4, while playing online.
The screen will go blank, but the optical audio sound will still work.
This does not happen with other games i play. Although I dont play them online. I play alot of hockey and fifa lately 2x2 with freinds and never does it drop out.
Just the last few times its been loosing video, tonight the video just went out, and the other night a weird messed up image came on the screen and then it went blew.
I looked at the 360 crashes and the weird screen looked similar to that.
I do however have an hdmi premium version, I purchased maybe 2 years ago, I think when they added hdmi to all consoles.
I decided its either the 360 crashing, hdmi drop out, or the disc which is scratched is having problems (although wouldnt I loose the audio as well, or something with xbox live, since this only happens so far with COD 4 and while im online.
Now regarding my hdmi run, I have a 6 foot 28awg going from 360 to my hdmi switch, which apperantly has a built in amplifier, and from there I have a 24awg 35 foot run, all monoprice cable.
Does the 6 foot run from my 360 to my hdmi switch also need to be 24 awg, to get the full bandwidth or frequency or whatever it is. OR is it fine running a 28awg to a switch, and then a 24 awg to the projector.
My other ideas on the disc being scratched, something with xbox live, or if my 360 is crashing i would like to hear more about.
