360 Premium Chrome Finish????

I thought if you got the premium system it had a Silver/Chrome Finish.....I got the premium and it is white like the Core Units....Is that right? :rolleyes:

Yup.


The only difference is the DVD/CD drive has a platinum-mirrored surface while the one for the Core is just white.

I'm still annoyed they didn't just release it in black, like 99% of the home theatre components they sell. White?


White does two things:

1) it gets dirty, fast

2) it turns to yellow over time


I heard this was a nod to the Japanese who prefer their components in a white color....frankly, I'm tempted to bust out the Krylon.

The idea of taking an old halloween mask and melting it with a blowtorch over my 360 in klumps of latex, boths scares and intrigues me at the same time.

I use the dash/remote for controlling the tray. It's getting my 9 year old to do it. :p

(but I recently moved the 360 up higher for other reasons)
