360 Wireless Network alternatives?

485 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  jamesmurray
Has anybody done any tinkering with the $100 network adaptor? It seems it shouldn't be too hard to get a standard USB one to work. If anybody has the MS one, have you plugged it into a PC to see what happens? I'd be interested to see what windows recognizes it as. Also if the firmware can be grabbed and viewed would be a big help. I've got my xbox hardwired to router but I'm thinking of getting the adaptor just to mess with. Tonight I'll try plugging one of my Netgear USB adaptors into the box and see what happens. Any other experiments with results would be interesting.

peace.

You can't install the drivers for a standard USB one. You can use any ethernet wireless bridge or game adapter, but if you want the Xbox360 Wireless Adpater, I heard Walmart was selling them for $50.
