Finally a real HD flat panel TV (with tuner)! I mean if you assume the REAL HD standard is 1080 (right?) then a 1024x768 LCD (or plasma) is really just an ED TV on viagra! 1080 @16:9 = 2 million pixels. so called HD 1024x768=786K pixels (not even half the HD std) and ED = 408K pixels.

I would think this set would be 10K ! I realize other things go into a good picture but everybody is always talking resoluition which increased lines are a BIG part of!

I gotta go to Costco and check this out.

Yes, there is already a thread on the Sceptre on sale at Costco for a low price. Good luck going to Costco to see one, as they are only available online.

And if I hadn't already been following the other thread about this LCD I would have had no idea what you were talking about. Maybe you accidentally started a new thread instead of replying to the original thread?

well, isn't true hd resolution at 1080i/720p (turns into preference for i/p type for the individual) ?

1080p just came out recently and isn't the new standard (yet). Before understanding all this, I thought the same thing... I saw the 32" Aquos as not having 1080i compatibility. It only said 720p... then I realize that 720p > 1080i (for me, anyhow) =] And the set does support both types.
