The one that sounds best to you is the right choice not ours, do yourself a favor and go audition which one you like and you might be surprised that another brand might sound better than the ones mentioned before in this thread.

3806 vs 2807 on purely preamp capabilities
Hi all,
Between the 3806 and the 2807 which is better or are they the same when it comes to prepro capabilities. I have separate B&K and Proceed amps so I am not worried about their internal amps. All I am looking for is a nice prepro with HDMI capabilities and the Audyssey room correction system. Which one would you all suggest?
