Well I couldn't find any threads that addressed this issue so I'm going to assume I have a dumb question.

I have the 38310 with the directv tuner built in. I would like to buy the directivo, but I already know that I do not have an output. What options do I have? Would I need to buy another receiver and mirror the service? I don't believe I have may options.

I do remember someone discussing a company that will add (I forget the specifics) a firewall? or was it a plain old a/v output to the tunner in the tv?

Can someone offer a suggestion?

Thank you in advance

The DirecTivo has a tuner built in. All you need to do is run a second line from the multiswitch to your TV, and plug that line into the DirecTivo. You can output the video from the DirecTivo to one of the video inputs on your 38310. If you buy now, your Tivo will not have HD capabilities. If you wait until 2004, you can get an HDTivo.
