I wanted to know why my dlp link glasses do not work with my pc games with NVIDIA vision. Do I need the NVIDIA emitter or do I need the whole kit?

DLP-Link glasses only work with certain DLP TVs and projectors. What equipment are you using?

I have an Optoma GT720 and I'm trying to use it for 3D pc games. I'm using a GT 430 graphic card

You might want to google "Nvidia Cards help me choose"

before you spend a lot of time pursuing this with the 430. Click on the little box that says "are you interested in the following technologies" - 3d vision. I recommend a beefy card and make sure you check with the requirements of the program or game you plan to use with this.

3D world is great but still new and can drive ya bonkers. I've got in my house 3x580's, 3X480's, 2X470's, projectors, and other. Have fun and read up before you buy.

iZ3D (30 day trial available for all modes, after that you pay to unlock the feature - they free DLP checkerboard mode for ATI/AMD, but your DLP projector doesn't support checkerboard only frame sequential and you have an Nvidia card anyways) should work for you, most likely. Nvidia generally only works with Nvidia certified everything, they don't do frame sequential with their built in drivers with normal 120hz projectors.

I use it in DLP checkerboard with my 6850 (and previously 4850) AMD/ATI cards to my 61" DLP TV for 3D no problem.

The nvidia kit probably won't help you unless your projector is on the "nvidia 3d vision compatible" list, and you use the nvidia glasses (not DLP link) etc. I'd try using iZ3D driver first before spending any money, you can at least trial run the mode for use with 120hz projectors.

You can just use an Nvidia compatible emitter. The 3D Vision driver is free via the Nvidia video driver updates, or use a Nvidia 3D Vision emulator: http://3dvision-blog.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=997

Once you have the compatible emitter plugged in, run the 3D Vision installer/setup and once this is configured, you'll need to set your desktop to 1280 x 720 @ 120hz and you can use either 3D Vision or DLP Link mode on the GT 720. See my review in my sig for more info.

Here's a original Nvidia emitter on Ebay for $24.95 Buy It Now:
