Perhaps you can clarify what you mean by "3D Surround"? The 636 features Dolby Atmos and is capable of using one set of "height" speakers. Only some Denon and Marantz models currently feature Auro 3D and none currently feature DTS:X.
Most every AVR mfr'd in the past 3-4 years can pass 3D "video" and 7CH AVRs can pass 5.1/7.1 audio to include the 636. Note that 3D Surround "audio" refers to the newer audio formats only first introduced in 2014 which use height/ceiling speakers.
