3D y/c comb filter question...

A new Toshiba 32" tv advertises that it has this filter to make the picture better. I am under the impression that this is a feature that is only "on" if the tuner is being used. If I was to hook up a SA 8300 hd with hdmi, this feature would not be worth the $100 extra cost vs a tuner the Westinghouse 32". Am I right?

A comb filter applies only to composite or (I think) s-video. Not used for component, DVI or HDMI.

it filters analog only.
