This is an original voodoo 5-6000! Only 50 were ever made and this is one of them. This card is lightening fast and is compatible with Windows 98/Me/2000/Xp[I've used all operating systems with this card. It's running on the pc I'm writing this ad up on right now[Dual P3-1100, 512MB ddr,dvd266-r mb,Win Xp,2x30gig in RAID 0. The v5-6k comes with it's own power supply as well as thermaltake chip coolers on the ram and 4 20mm replacement fans.Pic is not the actual card but very similar without the enhanced cooling. Please Email me with any questions, [email protected] Also check out http://www.voodooextreme.com/hw/previews/v5_6000/1.html and http://pub43.ezboard.com/bx3dfx

Other than for nostalgia purposes and saying "Hey I'm one of the few that got this card before 3dfx went under", this card is a waste of money. For gaming a Geforce 2 Ultra will perform on par with it, let alone a new Geforce 3 ti500 for half the price and a quarter the noise and a fraction the power consumption. The 128mb is actually being split between the 4 3dfx chips giving an effective 32mb. I don't know how well it would work for HT purposes but I doubt it could beat a $60 radeon for PQ.

I don't mean to rain on your parade and it does look like you will make a pretty good penny for this card on ebay. But like I said, the card really has no functional value.

to clear things up, only the textures have to be duplicated for the chips, the memory is really shared among all of them, and the card supports better texture compression than every Nvidia-made card, making it equal to about an 80MB Nvidia-card (if something like that existed that is). The FSAA though is still unmatched and it definitely is the fastest card you can get for Unreal Tournament (since it still has some Glide-support). The beast lacks some advanced rendering features, but it is hellishly fast (I´ve seen one in action once).

There are even new WinXP-drivers out for this card which claim an increase of speed up to 50%, I wouldn´t buy it for one reason alone though: lack of TV-out. Almost got a V5500 PCI for 90$ though, makes a good second card since the ramdacs were first rate on these.
