3LNB Question

190 Views 1 Reply 2 Participants Last post by  RoyGBiv
I plan on upgrading to D* HD service soon. Currently I have an old 1 LNB dish and originally the line was split so there is now a splice(?) and I want to run a new more direct line to the tv room.

My question - When the new 3 LNB dish is installed are there 3 seperate lines running to the reciever. I see they have a built in multiswitch but I am totally ignorant how that works. :)

Just wondering if I should run one new line now or 3 if needed to prepare for the upgrade.

Sorry for the newbie question.

The 3 LNB dish has the ability to output four signals that can each access any of the 3 LNBs. You have to run a line from the dish to each receiver (or receiver input) you plan to use.
