4-18 cubic ft. flared slot ported build using 4-B&C 21DS115-4 Drivers

Boxes: 4 18 cubic ft. MDF Flared slot ported boxes

There tuned to 15.33 hz.

Drivers: B&C21DS115-4 ohm drivers

This all started a while back.... I reached out to LDT02 and was asking for his help with the Dayton Ultimax 18's and was going with those in a slot ported box. Then once I started building my Titan-615 LCR build I stopped at @mtg90 house to pick up the crossover boards and we started talking about what drivers I should use. He suggested the B&C driver and after a few messages and phone calls he modeled the new driver B&C just released after seeing what the SW version would do via winisd that parts express sold. This new driver made 2-3 db more across the board compared to the SW driver and was just a little more money. So since I was this far into it I figured why not buy these new B&C21DS115-4 drivers. These will make some serious noise as you can see from the graph below.

These new drivers are also very sensitive and will take less power to drive them which is a huge plus!!!

I'll be running the drivers with my inuke 6,000's and the will be a perfect match with power.

Here's a few graphs of where i was in my room and were I will be.

Yellow and blue is the new setup and pink and red is the old setup.

4-18 cubic ft. flared slot ported build using 4-B&C 21DS115-4 Drivers

Numbers

The box has a 15.33 hz tune to it. The slot port is 45 inches long and 24.5 inches wide.

15.30 hz. 131 db.

20 hz. 129 db

25 hz. 129 db

30hz. 130 db

40hz. 132db

50hz. 133 db

60 hz. 134 db

70hz. 135db

80hz. 136db. I'll cross then here most likely

90hz. 137db

100hz. 138db

110hz. 138db

120hz. 140db

My 6-15" legacy drivers numbers

10hz. 107db
15hz. 115 db
20hz. 120db
30hz. 125db
40hz. 128db
50hz. 130db
60hz. 130db
And 130 db on up from there.

It should be like having 2 JTR 4,000's in the room but with more bass than just those two cabinets if my measurements are right.

Subscribed and looking forward to the build and your impressions. Just when I was thinking of going with 2 JTR 4000ULF's... I could potentially do 6 of these (4 in front and 2 in back) instead and still come out ahead. Not that I'd really NEED 6, but it'd be fun!

Nice! I'm glad you went with the DS115...total beast of a driver and similarly priced to the Sw115. I'll be watching this one for sure. I have a trio of 21SW152 that I'm thinking of ported boxes for as well with a similar tune. I'll probably pick up a fourth... Have to have symetry lol. How are those titans treating you?
