i currently have a pio 82... besides the various firmware issues (which are resolvable), i'm currently one hdmi input short...
i'm not real concerned about scaling... i don't care about hdmi 1.3a...
i'd like to keep it to 1k or less... i don't mind going with "last year's technology"...
i was considering snagging one of those marantz 7001 (or 8001) that are for sale in the marketplace... any comments on one of those, or any different suggestions?
Yeah I was going to recommend the same thing. I ordered my 605 (only two inputs) and at the time all I was expecting to connect was my PS3 and 360 via HDMI and my HD SAT by component. While waiting for the 605 to be shipped off back order I decided to upgrade my HD SAT to and HD-DVR which turns out to have HDMI out also. When I found this out I ordered the Terk HDMI-31 (3 to 1 automatic switch) for $41 delivered (refurb unit). It works great for the PS3 and 360!
yea, i have... a bit kludgey... but it would work... i started to research that to see if anyone had any handshaking issues, etc. with a switch, but after a bit i got bored... i suppose it's worth a shot...
i'd sell the 82 if i bought something else, so it wouldn't be a total loss...
The Terk switch actually looks pretty cool. I have my 605 and HD-DVR on the top rack and the switch sits slightly back and in between my PS3 and 360. The blue LEDs look really cool. Some of the other HDMI switches may look a little dull though.
