I'm building a new house, and it includes a pair of Proficient 610 ceiling speakers in 4 zones with in-wall volume controls.

I want to use 2 analog audio sources:
  • Rocki
  • Logitech UE Smart Radio

I don't want to spend a lot of $ on this project, as I will need to purchase new furniture, as well as a receiver, projector & screen for my media room.

In my research I came across Russound's X75 2-Channel Dual Source Amplifier ($130 @ Amazon):

The X75 is a 2-channel dual source power amplifier with autosource switching.

The X75 is a Class A/B amplifier rated at 75 watts per channel into 4 ohms, and 60 watts into 8 ohms.

Automatic switching between two sources with signal sensing

Built for multi-speaker applications with volume controls

Front panel volume and balance controls

Could I not purchase 2 of these, with each one powering 2 zones? I could then split the signals from the analog inputs to each X75. Since the X75 auto senses an incoming signal, and both the ROCKI & UE are controlled via smartphone, I can just put them in a closet and run everything via smartphone / wall audio controls.
