40-42" Display Suggestion for HTPC

Hey guys,

Looking for some suggestions/direction for a 1080p 40-42" Display. I'm in North America. It's an HTPC box and will primarly be used for Blue-rays / DVD's (not that interested in cable TV viewing at the moment). It will be our only home computer so text apperance is important (internet browsing or word processing). It would be a bonus if the TV would support PC based gaming.

I had originally been looking at plasma and LCD but have recently been steered towards the LCD camp for this application.

I've been looking at the following but would appreciate any other suggestions. Budget is less than $1200 - these are the TV's I've been able to find locally.

samsung: LN40B610

sony: KDL40Z5100

toshiba: 40XV645U / 42ZV650U

sharp: LC40E77U

Thanks,

Colin

Personally, I prefer plasma. Having said that, just make sure that whatever set you choose will support the TV's native resolution over whatever input you choose (HDMI or VGA) and that there is a setting to turn off over scan when connected to a PC. Have a look at the flat panel displays forum for more info on your choices.
