Hdmi cable run I get to do this once I have time. NFL doesnt start till september I wanna do it right and wanna take no chances at all.


My hdmi run is going to be 40 feet, everyone says every signal drops after 25 -30 feet...


IM leaning towards the infocus sp 8602 ( 1080 p ) or possibly the infocus in83 or the infocus x10.


IS there a differance between 1.3 a or just 1.3

Differance between silver plated copper or tin plated ?


Solution:


1) run 2/ 20 footers and an amplifier ( booster) in between is this a sure fire or have having too many connections not good. I cant seem to find good quality amplifiers where are they available ?


2) take a chance buying a 40 -50 from monoprice.

3) buy one from bjc

4) buy comprhensive cables some say they are the best.Projector people sell this

5) liberty cables the projector people sell




I dont wanna play with cat 5 / cat 6...I know all the hdmi cables are not built the same Ive been told by many that if you have projoctor issues its usually related to the run 25 foot hdmi run.

a lot of people have successfully used a single 40 ft HDMI Cable with no problems. But if you're running it in wall, your best bet is to run a conduit so that if you ever need to replace it (cable goes back, broken connector, etc) you can easily pull a new cable.


Also, it's a good idea to do a 'dry' run...test everything out before installing permanently to make sure it works. But even so, problems do come up over time, so again, if you can do the conduit I'd definitely recommend it.

One of the best HDMI cables for distance would appear to be the Beldon Bonded Pair from Blue Jeans cable. It's more expensive but may be worth it for a built-in installation. You can always add a booster/extender amp at the end of the cable if you still have problems.

That is a good point never thought of it , adding a booster at the end...
