anybody have any suggestions? What companies make the best plasmas or lcds?

Pricing will be close on all of them with the plasma being the cheapest. I have a Sharp LCD and love it, others will chime in with their opinions too. Good Luck |

If they already have a Hi-def set but are still looking for a plug and play set, LG is really good and has good picture quality for a reasonable price. Now if they want to go into something a little pricier (but well worth it) they might want to look into the Pioneers. The PDP-4360HD and the PDP-5060HD provide exceptional picture quality with great colors. I hope this helps! |

The TH-42PX60U is a consumer version and should come with speakers, a stand and an internal tuner. And yes, most plasmas can be wall mounted. |

Most of the time when one purchases a commercial model they already have some sort of stereo system for the sound, though for most, the specified speakers can be purchased separately. The internal tuner can be substituted for an external cable box or a satellite box As for a stand, that can be purchased separately as well as a wall mount. Just to let you know, generally if you don't have anything like what I mentioned already, the commercial versions are about even in price after purchasing all of the items needed. Usually the people who purchase commercial versions for residential use are looking for a custom set up or cleaner "look" |
