I'll try to get a picture of this and post it later, but I'm wondering if anyone else has ever experienced this. On certain video games, I'll get thin vertical lines all the way across the screen. It is like bands of light, dark, light, dark.....looks like stripes. They are very thin and if I stand far enough back they become less noticeable.

I'm thinking they have something to do with the resolution being output. Here is why:

1)It will only happen on certain PS2 games, most recently Katamari Damacy. This game is obviously running at a lower resolution than a lot of other modern games.

2) It doesn't happen on any of my gamecube or xbox games, most of which are 480p compatible.

3) It happens on all SNES and Dreamcast games.

Another interesting tidbit is that it doesn't seem to matter what connection type I use to hook up the systems. The lines get more blurry when using a composite connection obviously, but they are still there. It doesn't look terrible or anything, it's just annoying after I noticed it the first time.

Has anyone ever seen something like this?

Chris
