Sorry, I've searched a ton of threads, the product manual, as well as the web, but I can't find a definitive answer. Does the 7UY do 720p? I remember the 6UY did (as far as I can remember). Thanks guys and sorry for the potentially obvious question...

You can send it a 720p signal and it will properly scale it to 480p.
The operating instructions for the TH-37PWD7UY which also cover the TH-42PWD7UY, TH-42PHD7UY and TH-50PHD7UY models, indicate they all support 720p native resolution.
