Need a 60" or plus Plasma, Two 42" or larger LCD,LED, or Plasma's. And one 30"+ bedroom TV. One of the 42's cannot be a plasma as its going in a room with heat issues. Last day to shop/think is tomorrow, Saturday. Money is being spent Sunday. All part of a divorce settlement.

Thinking Samsung most of the way. Wish I could go LED but seems too expensive. After shopping the hood, seems I'm gonna end up playing Best Buy off Ultimate Electronics.

Any thoughts ?

It's really hard to recommend anything without knowing your specific requirements.

Are you trying to get the best PQ you can within that budget at max, or are you trying to get the best bang for the buck and have change? For the 42" plasma, is 1080p required or is a 720p acceptable. Are you gaming, or connecting a computer, on any of them?

If it's a bang for the buck choice the LG 60" are really cheap right now 60PS11, 60PS60.

The Panny X1, Samsung B450, LG PQ30/20 are good choices for 42" 720P and economical also. For a 1080p 42" plasma maybe a Panasonic S1, G10, or a Samsung 5 or 6 series. For the 40" lcd, a 5 series Sansung maybe a B540,530,550.
