I have seen my Replay reboot spontaneously five times recently, once right after it had just rebooted. Just turned the TV on, and all of my dozens and dozens and dozens of shows are gone. Only a new theme channel I added last night is there.


Any ideas why it would be spontaneously rebooting?


Any ideas on whether or not I can get my shows back? And how?

It may just have been the DDDSS at work (Dreaded Dual Drive Spinup Syndrome.) If the drives don't sync up within a reasonable time frame, the OS assumes corruption and re-initializes the mpeg partition. Bummer. This unhappy, but infrequent, behavior has been confirmed by ReplayFolk.

Interesting. Is this something which gets better or worse if you replace the drives with larger/faster drives?
