45xx disk drive noise

My 45xx has always been in the living room, but drive noise has never been an issue. Unless I was standing right next to my Replay, I could never hear it. We went on vacation for the holiday, and came back and now I always hear the Replay drive from 30+ feet away. It is just the normal quiet sound of the drive - no "bad" sounds. But it is very irritating.


I am unaware of ANY changes in mounting or configuration or anything in my environment.


What could have happened?


What can I do about it?
