My Sony KP-46WT500 has 3 DRC (Digital Reality Creation) modes: Interlaced, Progressive, CineMotion.

According to the user's manual:

- Interlaced is recommended for moving pictures

- Progressive is recommended for still images and text

- CineMotion is recommended for 24 fps films.

Can someone explain what each of these modes exactly do?

Thanks in advance.

Interlaced is 960i

Progressive is 480p

CineMotion is 480p w/ 3:2 Pulldown

In most instances you will get the best performance from the CineMotion setting.
