Has any company announced they would have the 4K Netflix app on their BD player for 2014?  Just got a 4K tv and I need a solution.

I am not sure about BD players. IIRC, 4K Netflix will be limited to certain 4K TVs and a 4K streamer from Sony. Frankly, Netflix has a tough time delivering 1080p as it is, never mind 4K. I'll believe Netflix 4K when I see it.

Remember that your 4k display will automatically upscale all inputs to 4k resolution. I don't see Netflix outputting 4k anytime soon, so it's a moot point for a few years at least.

Netflix 4K is coming later this year. Not sure why you seem to think its a few years out when they announced it at CES this year.

No. Coming to TVs first and then the Sony STB which will probably be only compatible with Sony 4K devices.
