What type of cables do you recommend for DVD audio/SACD 5.1?

I noticed Monster (what a crappy company lol) is selling DVD Audio 5.1 cables for $100...The Toshiba DVD Audio player I just bought cost $98 shipped, so I'm definitely not spending more on cables.

get three pairs of any well-built audio cables...

acoustic research is one very reasonably priced brand... or make you own...

some RG-59 coaxial cable and switchcraft or neutrik connectors and you can make some very good cables made to the exact length that you need...

Should be fine. Two of the triple yellow/red/white composite video/audio cable work fine for me. About the only thing they're good for since composite video sucks so hard. :)

Meh...$28? Cheaper than the $100 Monster Cable (poo) but still more than I'd like to spend. I think I'll stick to free unless someone has some evidence the gold plated connectors are really that much better.

Thats the spirit, no one can produce that evidence. So hook that mother up and enjoy. I just made a vga to component cable and spliced three of the free cables onto the vga and tested it with my wife and didnt tell her which was my homemade vga and which was the 50 dollar one I got from Markertek, she could see no difference and niether could I. So use the free ones and then start learning how to make your own its even cheaper then, well almost.
