Why are they pusing so much toward internet for viewing video content, but no multichannel audio?

who wants to watch I HD video with 2 channel audio? in Media center I can setup 5 or 7 channel audio,

but xfinity and many others like crackel have web player to view shows or movies but it 2 cannel audio.

audio is just important as video.

And I notice now a lot with Creative audio cards like Recon3d or ZX its 5.1 unlike cards from years past

that said 6 or 7.1, so what happen with those and why are they labeling them 5.1 now?

The key to the entire process of getting the content from the web site/download server to your machine and whether every device inbetween can and will pass the Dolby information along with the content. Your PC then needs to decode from that content or succsessfully pass it via HDMI to the TV or AVR unit. Any failure to pass the entire media will leave silent channels.

So why isn't the audio track passed thorugh like HD path? it would be nice to stream both HD and DDL5.1. Netflix in win8 I heard does it, but in win7 no go.

I use Xbox360 to watch Netflix with DD5.1.. works good their, I just see a lot of media content like XFinity or XBMC shows use 2 channel audio . Its an Adobe

thing I belive cuz most streams are done through flash player. I cut the cord awhile back cuz of Xfinity jabbing me with charges on the hardware. so I use

streams and even Navi x in xbmc. I do get Dolby digital in media center but I forced it with xfi recon3d set in dd mode to keep constant stream in dd 5.1
