With a new home theatre setup, I thought it would be nice to be able to listen to my musicwithout needing to constantly change CDs. I was goign to stream WAV files through my Xbox 360, but then remembered the Western Digital HD TV Media Player, which supports Flac.

I have two albums that have surround sound: the DualDisc release of "Straight Outta Lynwood" by Weird Al Yankovic, and The Beatles "Love". They aren't DVD-Audio, but rather DVDs with DTS 5.1. I would also like to store these tracks, with surround sound, intact for use through the WD Media Player. Apparently Flac can do this, but I haven't been able to find out how to actually do it.

So, can these tracks be ripped to Flac with the surround sound intact, and played back to a home theatre receiver in 5.1? And if they can, what do I need to do this, and how is it done?
