about to purchase my first home theater system. I live in a condo my room size a small to mid size, i am looking at getting a Yamaha RX v471 receiver, my budget for the speakers are between $200-300. was looking at Polk Audio TL1600, or the klipsh 300hd any suggestions.

Stay far far away from the klipsch hd 300... They are extremely horrible and doesn't fill small to medium rooms



Polk Rm6750 5.1 is a great budget system at $180

I would get consider getting these for now and adding a sub later.

Check out the Boston Acoustics CS2310 set on Vanns.com's eBay store. Should fit your budget quite nicely.

If you're looking for a receiver and speaker combo Vanns has a couple of packages with the BA 2310 system. One with a Denon and one with an Onkyo.

The Jamo with the Onkyo and a BIC F12 would be a comparable price to what Yammie 471 with a speaker set.
