5.1 setup???

I have the Yamaha RX1300 receiver and Klipsh R3's speakers. I was concerned because my 2 rear speakers sometimes are very difficult to hear. I was wondering if anyone can give me ideas for settings ie. db's for the speakers and everything. They are only sitting about 7 feet behind me.....


I am trying to get the most out of the speakers I have - they sound great but I think they can be even better.....


Any help is appreciated,

Have you calibreated your speakers' volume level? Go to Radio Shack and get a SPL meter (sound meter). From your usual seating position, play a test tone to your set up and adjust the volume of each channel to be the same.
