or start with a pair of these M70 towers ($20 each off coupon SPEAKER82X2) in a 2.0 system http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...AFC-C8Junction

and build up as the budget allows adding a center Polk CS2 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16882290023 and M30 surrounds when the budget allows, along with a subwoofer of your choice.

I think it depends on what you're looking for. The BIC F12 will play lower than the V8 sub. If home theater is your primary purpose and you have a fairly large room, go with the F12. If instead you play a lot of music, go with the V8 as it will be a more musical sub. it probably mates better with the Energy speakers where the satellites stop producing bass too.

Can anyone comment on, comment against, or recommend a center channel speaker upgrade? I have Yamaha NS-SP7800PN powered by a Denon AVR-1900 (790). I'm looking to add some more personality, ummph and strength. I'm in an two family unit so it's rare when I have the chance to turn the volume up where I like it. My Yamaha NS-SP7800PN does a nice job, but I want more. I want more, but at the same time want the system to remain "matched." If if should post this elsewhere can you suggest where that would be?
